Abstract

Photographer and researcher Elena Anosova talks about her approach to the study of isolated societies, which is based on the personal view through the prism of art. The photographic works are juxtaposed with the author’s autobiographical and ethnographic observations about closed and open borders, “one’s own” and “someone else’s” place and the experience of oneself inside a closed institution.
